“Glamping” is my new word. (Thank you, Elizabeth, for this new word!) It is the description of Camping with Glamour. As in a Country Coach! The definition of glamour is “An exciting allure, an irresistible quality that somebody or something possess by virtue of seeming much more exciting, romantic, or fashionable than ordinary people or things.”  Thus, the noun Glamping truly describes the CCI lifestyle and a Rally experience such as we have just completed at the Bethpage Camp-Resort in Urbanna, VA. 

What a wonderful Rally that Hosts Eastern Sr. VP Bill and Linda Brock provided for us with 67 beautiful coaches in attendance! The Club Members there were truly “Glamorous” in every way. Generous, Lovable, Awesome, Motivating, Outstanding, Respectful, Organized, United and Sincere – that is CCI!  I consider myself very blessed to have been among this glamorous group*. I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to assist this club to grow and thrive so you may continue to gather in such wonderful settings for fun and fellowship. 
 

As reflected by our New CCI Members from Quebec who arrived as guests and left as members, we are reminded just how truly International our Club has always been, in every aspect. The eloquently French Canadian couple -the Tessier/Gaudet’s, were one of the 10 “First Timer” Couples at the VA rally last week. I hope you all had as much fun as it looked like you were having! And a Big CCI Welcome to the additional seven New Member Families who joined CCI in September! We are happy to have you on-board. And I wish you could have all been “on-board” The Bethpager, the fun and fantastic Southern Belle of a “Rivah” Boat which gently cruised us around the Chesapeake Bay in the polite, easy, Plantation style so prevalent in the area. You can enjoy the rally photos posted on the forum and in this newsletter.

We are in the final planning stages for the Old West Rally Roundup in Tucson AZ, March 1-5, 2012. The registration form is in this newsletter and you will soon be able to register through the website for your convenience. Be sure to sign up early as there are only 300 spaces available and I have heard that the caravans are already circling. Brush off your boots and get ready for a Rip-Roaring good time together at the Lazydays RV “Ranch”. The posse at LZD are pullin’ out all the corks for this fun-filled event. There will be CC-Specialized Service Techs on-site for service appointments, many seminars and vendors, a Hands-On-Driving Course, Roping Contest, Western Dance, an old fashioned Chuck Wagon with some fun offsite trips such as a Golf outing and Tours for starters. More information will be coming soon so saddle up for another CCI “Glamping” event out West and Let R’ Buck!

CCI will be well represented at the FMCA Western Area Rally in January at Indio, CA with an overnight Pre-Rally and caravan hosted by CCI Western VP Christine Cross and her husband Lon, CCFMCA.  Watch for more details soon and join us there.
